Tigers of the Baja

The Baja desert is 30,000 square miles of undisturbed scorched earth. Every year, hundreds of riders descend upon the Mexican 1000 to test machinery and resolve against this unforgiving landscape.
This year, Triumph Motorcycles, ICON Motosports, and Motoworks Chicago are rewriting the rules, and attacking the desert on two rally-prepped Triumph Tiger 800XCs.
The result is the most extensive endurance testing of a full capacity ADV bike.
Each bike is modified for this endeavor with Ohlin’s suspension, enduro-capacity tank from Safari Tank Australia, Rally Raid armoring and rear fuel tank, navigation panel, PIAA lighting, and Woody’s superlaced tubeless wheels.
About that striking warpaint.

ICON not only applied their design expertise to the Raiden Tigers, but also outfitted both riders in all-new ICON RAIDEN apparel - a purpose built, ADV centric line that combines expedition ruggedness with the uniquely edgy ICON design.
The four riders for the event are Mark Vanscourt and Johhny Scheff of Motoworks Chicago on the white Tiger, and Joe Bolton and Ernie Vigil of ICON Motosports on the yellow Tiger.
Both bikes will be running in the NORRA Mexican 1000 May 10-14.
